This movie was directed by Robert Wise, and was based on the 1949 memoir of Maria von Trapp, "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers". This movie won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The Sound of Music is a musical movie. The movie stars Julie Andrews as heroine Maria, Christopher Plummer as Captain Georg von Trapp, and others. They have won many awards for the movies they have appeared in until now. The movie is set in Austria in 1938. Maria, a nun, has come to the strict educational Trapp family as a home tutor, where she conflicts with the seven children's father, Captain Trapp over and over again. However, she tries to convey to the children the beauty of music and singing. I really like the heroine Maria. If I had met her when I was a child, she would definitely have a great influence on my life. The movie is long, but it contains many important things
